As we remember, Tokyo TV cancelled airing Gintama’s Episode 232 due to the Parody of the Advertising Council Japan Renhou Murata. J-Cast reported Today that the office of Upper House legislator Renhou Murata denied from objecting the Gintama Episode 232 to be pulled of from the anime television channel AT-X. According to J-Cast, a representative of the office said “It is not true that we objected the episode.” They also said that the decision to broadcast it or not was a decision from TV Tokyo and they don’t have a comment.
Takamatsu Shinji, the director of Gintama posted last October 26 that the episode was repeatedly rejected because of its parody. He also said that if Gintama can’t stay itself as Gintama then they should stop airing it rather than airing something that isn’t Gintama. He also indicated to his tweet that the has not to come.
TV Tokyo had cited that the episode was cancelled due to some “circumstances” and because of some depiction of specific individual(s). When they asked if it was Minister Renhou, the representative of Gintama responded that they cannot answer the question.
